Login Tips and Trouble Shooting

PARENTS: Due to federal privacy laws, you must contact your student with all questions regarding access to their records.

INCOMING ADMITTED STUDENTS: Your login information was sent to you in the Financial Aid Award Booklet. If you are unable to locate it contact the Admission Office(see above).

  • Your username is the same as your Gustavus email excluding the and must be lower case (ex. astudent).
  • Your WebAdvisor password is NOT the same as your Gustavus Email password. They are separate and not in sync with each other. You could make them the same. However, remember, if one changes, the other does not automatically change.
  • Your WebAdvisor password is case sensitive and must be typed exactly as setup.
  • If you are using an iPad, be sure to turn off the auto capitalization(in settings). If on, it will capitalize the first letter of the password without you seeing it.

If you have DISABLED YOUR ACCOUNT due to too many invalid login attempts, wait 1 minute and try again. It will reset itself.

(Current Students and Employees only) If you have forgotten or don't know what your password is, you can RESET YOUR PASSWORD, by using the option "I forgot my password and need to reset it " under the "Your WebAdvisor Account" section. This will ask for identifying informtion, then reset your password to a temporary one and sent it to your Gustavus email. When used, it will state that it is expired and allow you to create your own password. Your new password must be between 6 and 9 long and contain at least 1 number.
